Digambar Jain TempleThis Jain temple is one of the world’s largest bird hospital. This temple is over hundreds of year old and is the place where thousands of wounded birds are treated. It is said that the Mughal Emperor banned music performances at this temple, however, the walls here emanated drum sounds on their own accord. The temple is located near to the Red Fort and is open from 05:30 -11:00 and from 18:00 – 21:00hrs.

Fort art lovers who want to explore art concepts and ideas can head over to Drishyakala Art Museum located at Chandni Chowk. It used to be a former British Barrack which has been converted into an art museum and is one of Delhi’s popular museums. The art museum boasts some of the rare sculptures of Amrita Sher-Gil, paintings of William Daniell etc where one can visit and admire the artworks of famous artists. The museum is open from 09:00 – 17:00 except on Mondays.

You might have heard Banksy, an artist known for his various version of street arts around the world. Delhi has its street art at Lodhi Colony which is India’s first Open-Air art museum which features the art of over 30 artists who have painted the colony with various topics. The block 15 is the place where you can find the street art at Lodhi Colony.

Mehrauli ShrineIf you are a person who wants to witness famous buildings yet, have fewer tourists then head over to Mehrauli Shrine. There is a park adjacent to the shrine which you can take a quiet stroll. This place is considered haunted due to the fact that many djinns and spirits roaming in this region, however, it is a beautiful place to visit as this has fewer tourists compared to other famous buildings. The Shrine is open from 10:00 – 18:00 hrs every day except Sunday.

Sunder Nursery

The botanical garden of Sunder Nursery is situated next to Humayun’s tomb and is one of city’s largest arboretum containing many species of plants. This place was once an abandoned region and due to makeover now you can witness many birds. The nursery is also a place where you can witness around 15 Mughal Tombs.
