Xiaomi brought the Redmi 9 to Europe and the SEA region, but is yet to launch the entry-level smartphone in its domestic market. This will change on June 24, when it will be revealed to local fans, and the company promises to change the entry-level field.
According to Xiaomi, 47% of the phones priced between CNY700 and CNY1,000 have only one or two cameras, while high-end smartphones are already going strong with up to five cameras on the back. The Redmi 9 comes with four snappers, albeit that tally includes a depth sensor and a dedicated macro camera.
The Redmi 9 also offers a massive 5,020 mAh battery with 18W fast charging. The first flash sale is scheduled to begin at 10 AM on Wednesday.
